Mohammad Farsi

Dr Farsi came to the UK in 1982. Previously, Commander in the Iranian Navy. He obtained his Doctorate and was employed lecturer in 1985 in Newcastle University. After retirement He was an IM at HMP Frankland, Chairman for two years. He was governor at Newcastle College. Further he served on the executive committee of the BME Friends of NSPCC and is an honorary member of the NSPCC Board. He has been a Community Representative on BME education Support Group and Newcastle BME Safeguarding Initiative. He also served on the Newcastle Safeguarding Children Board and a member of MSET. In 2013 joined EA Local Advisory Board, chairman 2014. He became chair of EA-LGB in 2016. He is also a Governor at Bede Academy, Blyth. As chair of the LGB Mohammad looks for the board’s effective engagement with the academy’s vision, ethos and the strategic direction, ensuring that high educational standards are achieved.
