Any comments regarding the Admissions Policy can be sent to Julie Foster, Executive via email: info@excelsiornewcastle.org.uk or via post: Excelsior Academy, Denton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 6AF.  Please note that only section 4 and section 5 of the Admission Policy 2020-21 have changed compared to the previous policy and therefore we would invite comments regarding these sections only.  All comments regarding the Admissions Policy 2020-21 should be made before Friday 11th January 2019.

The main points of admission to Excelsior Academy are at age 3 (Nursery), age 4 (Primary), age 11 (Year 7) and age 16 (Sixth Form); however we welcome applications to all year groups, spaces permitting.

Excelsior Academy follows the Newcastle City admissions procedures for our Primary and Secondary schools. If you are interested in your child joining us details of the application process can be found here, by following this link to the Newcastle City website.

There is a right for people to object about the policy to the Schools Adjudicator (OSA). See the Schools Adjudicator website for more information on how to do this. Objections for the admissions arrangements for 2020/21 must be made by 15 May 2019

The Admissions Policy has not changed however we have provided further clarification regarding waiting lists in section 9.

We encourage parents/carers and prospective pupils to visit us to experience first-hand what our Academy is like and how it would feel to be a member of one of our schools.
